Our Story
MOBT Global sprang from the success of Morocco Off the Beaten Track, the original organization that focused exclusively on Morocco experiences. Since 2010, we have helped thousands of travelers experience the amazing culture of Morocco and established ourselves as a top operator in the country. Keeping our mission as a priority, we have employed and worked with hundreds of local Moroccans, and have supported several community initiatives through donations, fair business practices, and our faculty-led program community service activities. Through our tours and programs, we have helped build lasting friendships that span cultural differences and provided locals and travelers the opportunity to appreciate and understand their identities. In 2021, we gathered all of our experience to create the MOBT philosophy and began expanding to other countries and locations globally to apply this model. With this expansion, we changed our name to MOBT Global so we never forget about our roots as we move forward to provide amazing experiences all around the globe.
MOBT Global designs both customized private tours & faculty-led programs
Our philosophy in developing customized private tours is to focus on providing a truly local experience by having our local specialists leverage their connections to their culture when planning tours. These experiences can be deeply customized to meet the wants, needs, and expectations of our travelers.
As educators, we provide faculty-led programs for U.S. college/university and high school students, as well as private youth organizations. These programs can be implemented throughout the year and can include community service projects, cultural excursions, homestays, language classes, craft workshops, and much more.
Our Mission
MOBT Global's mission is to enhance the quality of life in underserved communities by implementing sustainable development projects. These initiatives aim to foster cultural understanding and friendship between local residents and participants in our tours and programs.
Who we are and what do we do?
- A number of our team members are former Peace Corps Volunteers and Staff, and Fulbright scholars with expertise in cross-culture and leadership. They are committed educators who are intent on providing the most meaningful cross-cultural experiences, as well as the deepest experience of personal learning, reflection, and growth.
