  • All applicants must be faculty at a US university or college and have plans to implement their faculty-led program in Morocco in either 2024 or 2025.
  • The applicants should have never visited Morocco before

FAQs

University faculty members who are planning to implement a faculty-led program in Morocco within the next two years are eligible to apply for the grant. Importantly, this opportunity is exclusively available to faculty who have not previously visited Morocco, aiming to foster new perspectives and experiences.
The grant has a value of up to $3,000 USD and covers a comprehensive range of services, ensuring a hassle-free introductory visit. It includes accommodations, private transportation with an English-speaking driver, airport pick-up and transfer, all breakfasts, a welcome lunch, a farewell dinner, the full-time assistance of one MOBT Global staff member, guided tours, and entrance fees to monuments. This comprehensive package enables you to fully immerse yourself in the Moroccan experience and gain valuable insights into local resources and available infrastructure, which are essential for successfully implementing a faculty-led program.
While the grant covers various expenses, it does not include travel insurance, airplane tickets, gratuities and certain meals.
The introductory visit must take place during the calendar year following the grant approval. For instance, if you receive the grant in December 2023, you can plan your introductory visit for any month in 2024, except for July and August. To facilitate your visit planning, we kindly request that grant recipients inform us of their preferred visit dates at least 3 months in advance. Please note that MOBT Global reserves the right to approve introductory visit dates to ensure a smooth experience for all participants.
Your introductory visit to Morocco will span 7 days and 6 nights, allowing you to explore the country's rich culture, history, and landscapes.
Yes, you are welcome to bring a family member with you on this incredible journey. However, please be aware that there will be a fee associated with this.
During your introductory visit, you will have the opportunity to explore some of Morocco's most captivating cities, including Casablanca, Rabat, Fez, and Marrakesh. Additionally, you will visit charming small towns and make stops along the way, providing a well-rounded experience of Morocco's diverse landscapes and communities.
The grant recipients will receive notification during the third week of December.
Unfortunately, previous grant recipients are not eligible to apply again. This policy is in place to ensure that opportunities are continually extended to faculty from various universities and colleges, fostering a diverse and enriching experience for all participants. We appreciate your understanding and continued interest in our program.
